The next couple of weeks we will be learning about the Periodic Table of Elements. Chapter 4 discusses how to read the Periodic Table. The students should be working on the vocabulary charts and assessments in chapter 4 for the next binder check, which will probably be in two weeks or three. Please also be advised that the science fair project will be due the week of March 6. Students should also be accessing the Google Classroom site because the classroom assignments are posted there as well.

Test and INB check
B-blocks test and INB check will be Feb. 15 since there is no school on Feb. 17th. A Block will still be on Feb. 16. I will need the students grades on the test for the progress reports. There is a study guide on the Google classroom site to help in studying for the test.
We are starting our journey of the Periodic Table today and next week. We will be working on the Periodic Table for the next few weeks and there are also new assignments on the Google classroom site about the Periodic Table.

This week in science
We have started working on chapter 3 which is the states of matter. The first chemistry lab we are doing relates to the states of matter using ice and water. Students should be working on their science projects as well. In class they have been doing the written portion of the project. Next week we will have an INB check and a test on chapters 2, 3, and the people from the video called the Mysteries of Matter series.
