Week of Sept. 20 Update

Its been a busy week and I have not had a chance to update the site for Homework and the agenda. Remember the best place to look for your homework is in your binder reminder just for situations as this. Make sure you are writing detailed entries into your binder reminders so you have the homework at your finger-tips. Most of the homework for this week was spent on Visual terms and finishing up the workbook pages for Chapter 13. We will have a Chapter 13 Test Monday Sept. 27 for A-block and Tuesday Sept. 28 for B-block. We are also still working on the Owl Pellet Lab Foldable in class which is the project for Quarter 1. Progress Report Grades

If your child has a C or below you will see "In Danger of Failing Class" as one of the comments. This is only a warning, it does not mean they will fail science for the quarter grade. Please have students complete any missing assignments or complete the Test Improvement assignment to get half the points back they missed on tests to help low test scores. You can find the Test Improvement assignments on my web site under the Improvement tab. Each Test on the site corresponds to a test we will have in science. Hope this helps to keep students on track. Squid Lab Today!

Today we had a great day working with the squids. We had a little problem with ants wanting our squids but we handled ourselves pretty good against them. The kids had a great time. There is no homework for the weekend unless students did not finish the work from the week. We did not get a chance to check the homework so we will have to do it next week. Don't forget the test is coming up so prepare yourselves. I have decided the test will be all multiple choice, even the part on the microscopes so hopefully that will lessen the stress for some of you. Have a great weekend and I will see you next week.
