    GREAT ANSWER

    Professionally Researched.

Since the current trend in the United States embodies a wave of standardized testing focusing on mathematics and language arts, other subjects are often deemed as unimportant. One subject in particular that should be given extra attention in schools is science. There are many lessons that students learn from this fascinating subject.

    Science Is Everywhere

Science is all around us and affects the way we live. Children need to understand that science influences daily life; without it, we would not have things such as computers, cars, television, airplanes and electricity.

    Problem Solving

Science encourages problem solving and teaches kids the process of trial and error. Using the scientific method--an organized set of rules that all scientists use to examine a question--is one way children can hone their problem solving skills.

    Critical Thinking

Science evokes critical thinking and challenges kids to ask "why." The subject involves the use of logic and testing hypotheses. It is important that kids explain their reasoning and how they arrived at a conclusion.

    Scientists in the Making

Children who have a strong interest in science could develop their passion into a career.

    Excellent Educators

Teachers owe it to children to expose them to new material and new ideas. Excellent teachers incorporate all subjects into the curriculum, understanding that education should be holistic and cover all subjects--from physical education to music to science.
